Claude Desktop

Prerequisite

You need a Valency account. Sign up here if you haven’t already.

1. Open Claude Desktop

2. Under Connectors, press +, then Add custom connector

3. Enter the name:

   Valency

4. Enter the server URL:

   https://labs.valency.io/mcp

5. Under Advanced settings, paste the OAuth client ID:

   FslW0nVE1JMNobe1wQEsTr7bIwhZTi89

6. Click Add

7. Sign in with Google or email when prompted

   Note

   Sign in with the email you used to register at app.valency.io. It does not have to match the email on your Claude account.

8. Start a new conversation and ask: “Find papers by Hinton”

Success: You see paper results in Claude’s response. You can also explicitly invoke Valency tool calls.
