Do I need a Valency account?
Section titled “Do I need a Valency account?”Yes — you need to be set up first. If you haven’t been invited, sign up at onboard.valency.io/onboard.
Do I need a token?
Section titled “Do I need a token?”No — Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and ChatGPT all use OAuth (sign-in). No token needed.
Tokens are only required for Direct API integrations.
What if Claude works but ChatGPT doesn’t?
Section titled “What if Claude works but ChatGPT doesn’t?”That’s useful information. Please report it. ChatGPT support is newer, so issues there don’t affect Claude users. Please note that as of this writing, ChatGPT only works on paid accounts in Thinking mode (not Pro).
What if nothing works?
Section titled “What if nothing works?”Check labs.valency.io/health — if that’s down, the server is the problem. Report it immediately.
Which platform should I use?
Section titled “Which platform should I use?”We recommend Claude for the best experience. It’s the fastest to set up and most reliable.
Can I use Valency with other AI assistants?
Section titled “Can I use Valency with other AI assistants?”Valency works with any MCP-compatible assistant. Currently supported:
- Claude (claude.ai, Desktop, Code CLI)
- ChatGPT (Pro, Plus, Business, Enterprise)
- Gemini (coming soon)
